SFOA is an intensive three-week arts festival for young artists offering classes in the visual arts, music, dance, creative writing, and theater--all taught by professional artists and teachers.
Concerts, demonstrations, art work, and plays are featured at the end of the festival.
Transportation and scholarships are available.
SFOA is supported by tuition and donations from the Mount Desert Island business community, local families, and friends of the arts.

The mission of SFOA is to encourage a community of artists of all ages where children can express themselves creatively
through a wide range of artistic endeavors, gain a lifelong appreciation for the diversity of the creative spirit,
and celebrate that creativity through the performing and non-performing arts.
