Stunt Monologues

Stunt Monologues are guerilla theatre pieces designed specifically for performance in the venue of an audition situation.

They are not excerpts from a longer play - but an entire script that takes place during the two minutes in which an actor would normally be onstage for an audition.

As such, stunt monologues are not necessarily appropriate for classroom work or for certain competitions where the actor is required to read the whole play as part of their preparation.

Although they are most theatrical when performed in the arena of an actual audition situation, stunt monologues are not necessarily meant to be viable audition pieces, and actors should use caution in performing these scripts at auditions where they do not wish to confound the auditor(s).
