The SkyPilot Theatre Company presents PLANE TAKE, an anthology of short plays that holds one thing in common: They all take place within a bustling airport, and makes its appearance at the T.U. Studios in North Hollywood.

This series of ten (count 'em) plays shows life in an out of an airport where people come and go heading toward some far off destination! Sometimes the flight is smooth, and at other times there is plenty of turbulence! Such episodes include (among others), a single traveler meeting his wife to commentate an anniversary only to get everywhere expect where he's going to; A boy/girlfriend couple heading to a family reunion in Wyoming where they encounter a fellow traveler that knows his way around that state--perhaps too well; A woman meeting up with a pair of folks whose profession is within "the industry"; A man with his domestic partner recovering from a prostrate cancer operation finds more conflict getting on board a plain than just being stuck in a wheelchair; A man that sees his place at the airport more like Hades; A group of four diverse characters that wax nostalgic recalling their first time flying in a plane, and more!

These plays were created by the resident members of the SkyPilot Theatre Company that lean toward comedy. Two plays give a notion of surrealism, but winds up as funny as its outcome. One play is even a mini musical! All ten of these short "one-act-one-location" pieces are very witty, downright funny, and stand out on their own. They do intertwine with one another while they can become their own stage show! (Perhaps short, but indeed sweet!)

The plays themselves were written by the SkyPilot company members by (listed in alphabetical order), Nicole B. Adkins, Jeff Goode, Adam Hahn, Julianne Homokay, Samantha Macher, Liz Shannon Miller, Brett Neveu, Jonathan Price, Mike Rothschild, Dave Ulrich, and Chana Wise.

The ensemble cast consists of (again, listed in alphabetical order), Mary Burkin, Samantha Carro, Kareem Cervantes, Germaine De Leon, Dante Dumas, Mackenzie English, Frank Ensenberger, J.R. Espsito, Jude Evans, Jennie Floyed, Tony Franchitto, Ashley Fuller, Chera Holland, Joanna Kalafatis, Henry Kemp, Jason Kobielus, Brett Koontz, Sara Kubida, Morgan Lariah, Monica Lawson, Lindsey Mixon, Niki Nowak, Rosina Pinchot, Heathert Roop, Amelia Rose, Bob Rusch, Shane Spalione, Morry Schorr, and Nathaniel Stanton.

Finally, the directors of these plays were achieved by Mary Burkin, Brett Fleisher, Dave Florek, Eric Curtis Johnson, Jeff Goode, Samantha Macher, Liz Shannon Miller, Jonathan Price, Morry Schorr, and James Sharpe--names presented in alphabetical order!

In spite of the fact that this showcase sports eleven playwrights, ten directors, and twenty nine(!) performers, this presentation is small in size, but big in overall satisfaction! Most of the actors play only one role, each playwright is limited to their own creation, and the same goes for the directors! PLANE TALK is extremely entertaining, and is addressed as a piece that's all rolled up at a location that one doesn't necessarily want to be in! But when one is flying, one doesn't hold much of a choice! Seeing this show won't require the theater goer to be frisked, forced to unload their pockets, step through an x-ray machine, or to take one's shoes off! This show is the best way to enjoy(?) the ins and outs of a busy airport, no matter where one goes!

PLANE TALK, presented by the SkyPilot Theater Company, performs at the T. U. Studios, 10943 Camarillo Street (at Lankershim), North Hollywood, until February 26th. Showtimes are Saturday nights at 8:00 PM, and Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM. For ticket reservations, call (800) 838-3006, or via http://www.SkyPilotTheatre.com
