Now in it's third year, Attack of the PACA is a unique three-day festival that brings together all the arts under one roof. PACA's mission has always been to support all areas of the arts and Attack of the PACA highlights this ongoing endeavor.

The annual "Attack of the PACA" is a mélange of our highly diversified arts offerings. We seek the most original works which appeal to a finely honed alternative audience. Many of these audiences are otherwise under-served or completely bypassed by the more traditional arts organizations. These smaller artistic offerings give untested artists a chance to showcase their work and test the waters of performance.

This annual event also allows PACA to express our vision and mission and to attract and serve a new and developing audience. This audience once served and nurtured has consistently reemerged and supported other more mainstream arts and culture events after being exposed to the work at PACA.

Our 2015 Attack of the PACA will be held on August 7, 8, and 9th

GoErie.com:
ERIE, Pa. -- The third edition of the dynamic weekend festival Attack of the PACA 3D is packed with three days of events to cater to a variety of tastes. The result is a miniature version of what happens at PACA throughout the year, with a mix of theater, music, poetry and martial and visual arts.

"You never know what you are going to get at PACA," said festival organizer Jeff Rodland. "There is so much art and so many creative people meeting and then collaborating on new art. It is magical."

He noted that plays -- which he described as "short and funny" -- occur earlier in the evening. Music sets begin at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Works by Jeff Goode, Christopher Durang, Eric Bogosian and Edward Albee, among others, will be featured during Attack of the PACA 3D. Rodland said Durang's "Funeral Parlor" will be presented in Sense-O-Vision.

"I play a rather insane person to Kirsten McCain's grieving widow," he said.

Comedy fans shouldn't miss David Lindsay-Abaire's "Baby Food," a crazy short play set for Saturday night.

"(It) involves two couples who have a lasagna dinner together that leaves a bad taste in all of their mouths," Rodland said. "It is the funniest seven pages of script that I have ever read."

Saturday's theater segment closes with Durang's "Desire, Desire, Desire," a send-up of Tennessee Williams' works, including "A Street Car Named Desire."

Sunday's activities take place in the afternoon and are family-oriented.

"There are plenty of quality entertainers doing what they do best throughout the weekend," Rodland said.

Here's a look ahead at some of the weekend's events which includes events at the front and back of the house at PACA.
