What can be said about Santa and his reindeer? Not a lot. We know of them because they were introduced in the song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. There is no mention of their personalities till now. In Jeff Goode’s The 8 Reindeer monologues a scandal has erupted on the North Pole. When one of Santa’s reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment a media circus descends on the North Pole. As each member of the sleigh team shares their perspective of horrific tails of corruption and perversion, which seem to implicate everyone from the tiniest elf to the tainted saint himself. In this dark comedy, scandal erupts at the North Pole when Santa is accused of a heinous crime.  As the press descends, the reindeers on the sleigh team demand to reveal their perspectives and confessions.

WARNING: This production contains strong adult language and adult content. Not suitable for children — leave the little ones at home with visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads.

The Eight: Reindeer Monologues and The Santaland Diaries will be performed repertory style.  Tickets may be purchased for each show individually, or a combo ticket can be purchased to see both shows.

Helpless female or lying Vixen! You've heard the allegations she's made, the rumors about Jolly old St. Nick and poor little deformed Rudolph who's now in an institution. Well now hear the real story from the reindeer themselves.

This play will make you laugh, cry and feel sort of icky the next time you see Santa Clause. Each show is completely different and it's so hilariously entertaining you just might want to see it again and again.

Join us for a One-Night-Only performance of Jeff Goode's THE EIGHT: The Reindeer Monologues, benefitting Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television (NECAT) with a show that makes even David Sedaris?s dark holiday humor sound like Disney.

Following a human resources “incident,” one by one the eight reindeer explain what it's really like to work for the fat man.

What makes this show special?

1. It's daaaaark and snarky to cleanse your palette from all the sugar plums and candy sprinkles.

2. The performance is in a groovy TV studio with spiked egg nog and warm cookies for guests helping support public arts, public education, and public access television.

3. Performers will be wearing special effects prosthetics and makeup by Syfy channel Face Off artist Rick Prince (www.rickprince.com).

4. Rarely, rarely, would you see these 8 actors in the same show—but with 8 monologues…there are 8 leads.

Yo' Santa! Jingle this!! In this delightfully dark holiday comedy, scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's reindeer accuse him of sexual harassment. Charges are brought against ol' St. Nick and, as all eight tiny flyers give their depositions, we learn that the fellow isn't quite as holly jolly as we thought.

Due to the adult nature and language of this play, no one under 17 will be admitted.
